Hey everyone,

I am so sorry for not adding much since my last posting. I have been very busy putting material together for MAC USERS.
For all the Mac users out there, expect some real interesting updates on the Leopard Operating System (v10.5) in the next few days.

RSS FEEDS

You have heard the term "RSS FEEDS" when people are talking about blogs and podcasts. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It's a technology that enables others to subscribe to your blog or podcast.

The web feed is a data format used for providing users with frequently updated content.
RSS is a light weight XML format designed for sharing headlines and other Web content.

Everyday more and more websites, news services and blogs are adding RRS content. RSS has allowed users the flexibility to regain control of their content.

How to make an RSS feed
RSS feeds contain what are referred to as items. the items are usually connected in some way and contain a theme or other similarly. Each item contains a title, description and a link.
The title and description should be written to describe the content and the link should reference the webpage that contains the actual content. Like HTML, the XML file uses open and close tag to designate the title, description and link. Tags are enclosed in brackets < >, like standard html and the close tag contains a forward slash /.

FeedForAll - will easily create a feed for you.

Bloggers

A blog is a personal journal, posted on a web page for anyone to read.  My question is, if it's a personal journal, why would anyone want to post it to the web for the world to see. How impersonal is that?
